Dr. Maureen Horne-Paul B.Comm. HAFA, ND

  • Dr. Horne-Paul graduated from the University of Guelph in 1982 with a  B.Comm.  Hotel And Food Administration, and subsequently graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1995 with her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. She was a medical advisor/educational consultant for Heel Canada for over 10 years. She is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, Nova Scotia Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and is the past Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of The Prince Edward County Chamber of Tourism and Commerce and past member of the Board of Directors, Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors.

     

    She has been in private practice since 1995, spending her first 15 years in Kingston ON and 5 ½ years as the owner of Saraswati Wellness Spa in Prince Edward County. She moved to Nova Scotia in late 2014 and established a practice in New Glasgow. In 2016 she added another practice in Digby. Her focus is in naturopathic cancer care and general family medicine, and she is licensed in naturopathic intravenous therapy including central line access. She is also an experienced Bowen therapist, and has expertise in clinical nutrition, acupuncture, functional medicine, botanical medicine, classical and complex homeopathy.

     

    Dr Horne-Paul has been a guest lecturer at Queens University School of Medicine, Queen’s University School of Nursing, Kingston Regional Cancer Center, and CCNM, as well as being a TA for Professional IV Seminars. She serves as adjunct faculty/preceptor for student ND’s and MD’s, and is available for public/community outreach seminars for local interest groups. She has published in Journal of Homotoxicology. In her spare time she is an avid motorcyclist and drummer/percussionist.
